Open Door Preschool Info Session This Thursday

Hello Neighbors,

The new Open Door Preschool being built at M Station will be opening its doors at the end of October and is now enrolling students from ages infancy to kindergarten. If you are interested in learning more about this local non-profit in the neighborhood and would like to enroll your child, please attend their upcoming information session. The information session will be this Thursday, Sept 29th, from 6-7pm at the leasing office of M Station (north side of MLK near Clifford Ave).

Please see below for more information.

About Open Door Preschool

In 1975 an Austin couple searched in vain for an early childhood education program that would accept both of their children, a toddler with Down syndrome and his preschool aged sister. Determined to educate both children together, they founded Open Door Preschool with the mission to nurture and inspire young children of diverse needs, economic levels, and family backgrounds in an engaging educational environment.

Open Door at M Station is located on E. MLK, across from the light rail station,

as part of Foundation Communities’ new affordable housing community.

Our state-of-the art building will serve residents of M Station Apartments as well as the wider community. We hope to open at the end of October, 2011. We will serve seventy children from infancy to kindergarten-age.

Open Door at M Station will adhere to NAEYC accreditation standards (our current schools are both accredited, the gold standard in the field). Our hours are Monday-Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Spaces are filling quickly so we urge you to check in with us soon if you are interested.
